!A self-made working factory selling lamps per meter. Established as an action research into the late capitalist modes of production and brand establishment it is a form of a Trojan Horse critique of the mass production, quantity over quality, brand over product approach.

Hossie: I want to become an artist, than Im gonna make objects from iron. I will drill holes in them and hang it with screws as high as the logo of our school.

Public Depot Bootcamp, Peter Muller, 2018

In collaboration with the Rotterdam government, as part of RE-SOURCE. DDW Campina 2019, DDW Klokgebouw Awards 2019, ''Ontwerpend Onderzoek naar de Circulaire Stad'' Publication, Dutch Design Award with RE-Source
Investigating the flow of materials in Rotterdam, Slot took the role of a governmental employee, who literally and metaphorically owns ''the key to the city''. Public Depot Bootcamp constructed from residual and unused city benches serves as a fitness infrastructure. The depot can change function depending on the citizen initiatives.

The mechanization of agriculture rendered animals useless in the process and the project is an ode to their efforts. Enhancing the gap between efficiency and poetry a unique music piece is created when the dressage horse carries a custom wagon, ploughing the 5 lines in the sand.

Examining present applications of linden wood, Muller has reached out to beekeepers, tea producers, manufacturers of papers, yarn and rope, but also contemporary musicians and poets. The growing network “Linda” represents a holistic view on the subject and proposes new uses for the linden and in today’s world.

In a self-built laboratory, Slot has chemically altered samples of linden wood, aiming at making the material transparent, as inspired by Russian scientists. The experiment reflects on the consequence of our powers as humans to alter the environment.
